Benefit evening 2016
Our Benefit Evening’s 18th edition : A historic success!
On March 30 we held the eighteenth edition of our Benefit Evening under the honorary co-presidency of Christiane Beaulieu, Vice President, Communications and Public Affairs, Aéroports de Montréal, and Marie Lynne Desrochers, Senior Vice President, Commercial & International Solutions, National Bank.
Hosted with spirit by actress Valérie Chevalier, the evening was attended by more than 400 revellers and was a resounding success, bringing in a record $225,000 in net income, the most in the event’s history!
This success was made possible by the exceptional dedication of a fundraising committee who pulled out all the stops, reaching out to their networks and mobilizing a great number of donors and sponsors to rally around our cause. They were 16 patrons, 16 women and men with huge hearts:
Michelle Béliveau, Michelle Béliveau Conseil - Solange Dugas, GB Micro - Johanne Bélisle, Women’s Centre of Montreal - Sonya Côté, Intact Financial - Ayse Dalli, McCarthy Tétrault - Dominique Fortier, PwC - Manon Hamel, Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec - François Labrie, École des dirigeants, HEC Montreal, Caroline Lacroix, Groupe Robert - Elif Lévesque, Redevances Aurifères Osisko - Caroline Martel, Consultant in Public Relations and communications - Élaine Morisette, Banque Nationale - Laurent Nadeau, FCT - Angela Onesi, Fasken Martineau - Anne-Marie Sicard, Deloitte and Marie-Hélène Sicard, Sodexo.
The evening’s theme, “Spring renewal, reuniting and reinventing ourselves,” was focused on the future and the women who come to the Centre to regain control of their lives, like butterflies ready to spread their wings and take flight. Wishes, made by the participants of the Centre, also took center stage and were featured on multi-faceted center pieces and in a vibrant thematic activity where ten women chanted in unison an affirmation of their deepest desire for “equalitarian society without violence for all women”. The evening’s finale created a moment of pure magic in the hall as the incredibly talented Kim Richardson took the stage to deliver the most moving of artistic performances.

Benefit evening 2015
March 12 2015 marked the 17th edition of our Foundation's annual benefit evening, with honorary co-presidents Mélanie Dunn, president of Cossette Quebec, and Jean-François Blais, president of Intact Insurance.
The evening's theme was Giving from the heart, and our hostess, actress and presenter Julie du Page, carried us through with a spirit that shone even brighter in the light of those whose generous contributions helped to make this year, once again, a success.
With heart and soul, singer Laurence Jalbert, accompanied by the Chorale du Gesù, provided some notes of high emotion at the event. Everyone was also very moved by the testimonials given by two participants of the Women's Centre of Montréal and their counsellors, as well as by four of our partners, Caroline Lacroix from Groupe Robert Inc., Johanne Lépine from Aon Parizeau Inc., Laurent Nadeau from FCT and Eric Van Hoenackerfrom Pharmaprix
Thanks to the generosity of our co-president partners, Cosette Québec and Intact Insurance, our platinum partners, Ernst & Young and Pharmaprix, our many sponsors and guests who contributed to the silent auction and the draw as well as the efforts of the events' patrons, we earned more than $200,000 to support the whole of the Centre's programs and, by extension, its mission: "Helping women help themselves."
Devoting their time and experience without measure, it is the cause of improving the lives of women and their families that inspires our godmothers and godfathers, year after year, to promote our cause in the business community:
